The purpose of this study is to describe the accuracy
among Indonesian Silat’s team during Sea Games 2015. A video recording from
www.youtube.com during the match was use for the analysis. The skills outcome
into three categories, which is hit target, hit elsewhere, and miss opponent. Independent
sample t-test used to analyse the data between winner and loser. Through this
studies, the result shows that the accuracy of Men’s class A accuracy is higher
than Men’s class D which higher percentage on hit elsewhere and miss opponent.

INTRODUCTION
Pencak silat is one of the term for
martial arts from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. It played an
important role in the history and culture of Malaysian and Indonesian people.
Silat can be learn from younger ages so they could use silat as protection. During
wedding ceremony, silat will be perform in Kampung Stong, Kelantan, According
to Jähnichen (2016),
it is a tradition for this small village to perform silat as a wedding
performance. The movement is according to the music and ideological mind-set to
the general interpretation.
Pencak silat is also can be a lesson for
student to improve their skills. According to Widiastuti (2014),
one of pencak silat course goals is to improve students skills. One of learning
process is game approach which is it involve exciting, fun, and motivating for
students. It creates involvement of students in the class, larger excitement to
improve and study new advanced skills, and motivating the students to perform
well in class. Silat is not only martial art in Malaysia but it is also
considering a sport. Many people joined silat in Malaysia. Some of the people
join for self-defence and some of them join for tournament and hobby.
There are a lot of motion analysis in
silat including punch, kick, block, sweep, topple, and dodge. Previous study shows
that the activity profile during action time. According to Shapie, Oliver, O'Donoghue, and Tong (2009),
the nature of work periods within any combat sports depends on the frequency,
volume and type of the activity being performed. It is not easy for martial art
athletes to hit their target accurately. Even sometimes their miss their
target. The objective of this study is to investigate the accuracy and
non-accuracy for Indonesia silat team.
The 2015 Southeast Asian
Games, formally known as the 28th SEA Games was held in Singapore. It was the
fourth time the country had run the diversions and the principal gone through
since 1993. Singapore was at first conceded rights to run the SEA Games in 2011
after a couple of deferrals from 2007 in view of change of the New National
Stadium. There are a total number of 46 events during sea games 2015. One of
the event is silat. Silat contenders from nine countries will battle in pencak
silat at the 2015 SEA Games including, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia,
Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
MATERIALS
AND METHODS
A video recording of final match
Class A and D Men during Sea Games in Singapore 2015 used for the analysis. The
team that are selected is Indonesia to be the sample or subject. Two fighters are
involved from different team or country. This match consists of three rounds,
which is two minute per round and one-minute rest between each round. This
notation involved various skills such as punch, kick, block, catch, topple and
sweep. Usage of Statistical Package for
the Social Sciences (SPSS)
to calculate the statistical analysis and result. The video is repeated at
least two times so the data can be taken properly. The frequency was taken as
data to be analysed.

DISCUSSION
As the result, Men’s Class A
Indonesia versus Vietnam and Men’s Class D Indonesia versus Thailand lost the
match. According to table 1, we can see that Indonesia Class A have the high
percentage on miss opponent. It means that, during the match, the skills that
are being used are mostly miss opponent. The technique of topple and sweep are
being used by the Vietnam team in this match. In table 2, we can see that, Thailand
mostly hit the target accurately than Indonesia and Indonesia have higher
percentage on miss opponent. It means that a lot of unforced error during the
match. For Men’s Class A Indonesia Versus Philippines and Men’s Class A Indonesia
Versus Singapore won the match. According to table 3 and table 4 both match hit
the target accurately. Both table shows that hit target are higher than their
opponent.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, both Class shows a
good performance during every match. The athletes that lost the match should
increase their accuracy during match and training so that they can perform
better in upcoming events. According to all the video, Indonesia’s team more
likely use sweep in their match especially for Class A. The winning for Class A
in both match is because of the technique that been used in the match is more
to sweep and topple. We can see from the result that during the match against
Singapore and Philippines, the athletes have the high potential of using dodge
and catch. For Class D more likely using punching and kicking. Besides, Class D
are less using block and dodge letting the opponent easily getting punch, kick,
topple and sweep. The video also shows that the athlete is tired and suffering
during the fight.
RECOMMENDATION
As
we know that sometimes, people make mistakes and humans are not perfect but we
can practice to be perfect. Silat athletes should practice more on their target
and technique to improve their performance especially on catch, dodge, punch,
kick, sweep, and topple. As we know that silat is a martial art, we must train
longer to improve the technique and the most important thing is the strength of
the athlete so they cannot easily sweep or topple. The technique for sweep and
topple is also important because both of the skills can give you high point
during match. Defence and counter attack is important for martial art athletes
so that we can easily hit the opponent with sweep or topple. The most important
is the cardiovascular system. As an example, how fast the recovery time during
the break of each round from the athlete. Thus, speed is also important for
counter attack. As we can see the video from Men’s Class D, the athlete is
tired. So, he should improve his cardiovascular system so that he can create a
lot of movement during the match. It is important to the athlete to identify
the opponent movement so that they are prepare for attack or defence. Last but
not least, video analysis can be a guidance to identify the athlete’s mistake.
Video analysis can be the performance indicator for an athlete. We can see the
mistakes and weaknesses in the match by watching the video.
